My Mother was widowed, with three children, in her early thirties. We were fed, educated, dressed nicely, lived in an attractive home, all on a very small budget. I didn't know we were poor until I was a Senior in High School. My Mom decorated, fixed, patched, painted, wallpapered, sewed, crocheted, and cleaned, all while she worked and raised four strong individuals. I didn't have any idea that women had any limitations. When I got married, the budget wasn't big, so I just did what my Mother did, be clever and work hard!
This blog will just be postings of projects I have done, and you can decide which ones you are interested in learning how to do. So, this is a crafts, gifts, and decor blog rather than a 'getting savings on purchases' blog.
Since I don't like to do things over and over, I have done all different types of projects. I had thought of calling this blog "Out of My Mind," because odd ideas just pop out!
